It's Monday! Crushing on my Mommy
So very excited that I have this space to highlight some special women because Mother's Day should not just be one day out of the year. I know everything I know about motherhood from my mom, and it gives me great pleasure to feature her in today's #MomCrushMonday. Today is also her birthday, so help me wish her a fantastic day and many more to come!
This woman is simply amazing! I can't remember a time in my life when she was not there supporting me in everything. She was always present at every school function, never missed a report card conference; She was the ultimate pageant mom when I spent a lot of my teens years participating in beauty pageants. She has indeed become my best friend. Please take a look at what she had to say about motherhood and raising kids.
1. Introduce yourself.
I'm a plant Lover and nature Lover; I have been a professional in the Tourism Industry for the last 30 years. I love traveling to beautiful places and exploring nature and learning a new culture. I value great friendships and family. I believe that success is not an achievement, it's a journey, and you must take the steps to complete the journey. I treasure honesty and integrity. I am always grateful for who I am in Christ—always depending on the Most High for guidance.
2. What would you say is the hardest part about raising kids?
Well, my kids are now grown, but the hardest part is molding them to become their best selves. To instill those values and morals in them that will guide them and keep them on track, keeping them safe, and this sometimes drives fear in you as a parent just wanting to see them grow up to be who you know God created them to be.
3. What advice would you give moms about raising passionate kids?
Take time to understand what their passions are and provide the right guidance and support for them to pursue those passions. 4. What advice would you give moms about achieving their personal goals while raising kids? First of all, tell yourself that it can be done. Secondly, set priorities, then take action one step at a time until you get there. Never give up on your goals, no matter how long it takes for you to achieve it. Perseverance is the key. 5. What's one self-care practice that you enjoy? I would have to say gardening. Spending time with nature, and it's beauty truly gives me a sense of peace. 6. What's your poised mom power #pmp?
Very supportive of my kids, even when they become old and grey, I'll still be in their corner. Lol 7. Where can other moms find/follow you online?
